The well-jumping Duncan Z is a grandson of the international sport mare Gin Tonic van het Gerendal, who made a successful debut at 1.55m-level last year as a nine-year-old under Armando Trapote. One of Gin Tonic’s successful half-brothers is the stallion Dourkhan Hero Z, who like Duncan Z is sired by the strongly breeding international sport stallion Don’t Touch Tiji Hero. Under Christian Ahlmann, Dourkhan Hero Z won his first 5* Grand Prix in Hamburg last summer at the age of ten. In the third generation, this strong branch of the Van ’t Roosakker line traces back to Zinka de Kalvarie Z, a full sister to the international 1.60m-level horse Zarkava Hero Z ridden by Johnny Pals. In the second generation, the Olympic stallion Uricas van de Kattevennen adds his performance genes to this exceptional damline.
