The olympic stallion Sterrehof's Opium was part of the Dutch team for years with Marc Houtzager and can look back on an impressive sports career. He does not have large numbers of offspring, but this Katinka is one of them. It is also interesting that she carries the valuable genes of World Cup winner and top progenitor Libero H on her dam’s side and her dam Nibero has already foaled, in combination with Plot-Blue, the KWPN approved stallion Sterrehof's Great Blue who has been competing at international 1.40/1.45m level. Katinka is also a half-sister of the international 1.40m horse Fliegette (s.Casall) and her dam Nibero is listed as the granddam of the international 1.45m horse Eduard (s.Veron). Katinka herself has the same granddam as the international 1.60m showjumper Goldenstar (s.Bacardi VDL) ridden by Abdel Saïd, which makes her related to many international sport horses. This ster awarded mare is in foal to Notting Hill.
