This Manhattan comes from an interesting dam line as his dam is the half-sister to the 1.60m horse Mumbo Jumbo (s.Lauriston) and to Illusion (s.Wolfgang), the world champion of five-year-olds in Lanaken (1995) . Manhattan has the grey stallion Dakar VDL as his sire, who performed on 1.45m level with Jur Vrieling. Manhattan’s dam Rachel has proven herself in the sport by jumping on 1.35m level. Besides this she gave the 1.30m horse Detroit (s.Wallenburg). Her sire is the keur stallion Calvados, followed by another keur stallion Abgar, which makes that this Manhattan possesses enough blood which is indispensable in the sport these days. This dam line also gave more sport horses. The 1.40m horse Gumbo Mumbo (s.Carbio van de Heffinck) is closely related to Manhattan and via a half-sister of the great-granddam, the 1.60m horses Quiz TW (s.Guidam) and HFO Corvette (s.Corland) and the 1.50m horse Cartouche II (s.Nimmerdor) are also related to this promising show jumper.
