Nigella was awarded the ster predicate as a four-year-old with 80 points for both conformation and movements and subsequently achieved a total of 79 points in the IBOP test. Dressage talent clearly runs in the family, as this damline is renowned for producing high quality sport horses. In the third generation she traces back to foundation mare Charites, who is the dam of the Olympic dressage horse Nadine (s.TCN Partout), ridden by Hans Peter Minderhoud, as well as the KWPN approved ZZ Zwaar (5^th) level stallion Kroonjuweel (s.Belisar). In the second generation Charites can be found in the damline of the Grand Prix stallion Karolus van Wittenstein, the Intermediate II dressage horse Meggle’s Veneziano and Small Tour horses such as Firenze, Iggy Pop, Jacatra’s Roos and the KWPN approved Galandro. Sire Iconic B competes in the international Small Tour with Joyce Sterrenburg-Lenaerts. Nigella is in foal to Donkey Boss. This stallion was approved in Denmark as a three-year-old with exceptional scores, after which he went on to win the Danish Championships as a four-year-old. Hesselhoj Donkey Boss is also the sire of the Hanoverian Champion Stallion Daan G, who was purchased for a record amount of €2 million by Helgstrand and Schockemöhle.
