This interesting Onyx was bred out of a half-sister of the 2021 World Champion: the KWPN approved stallion Kjento (s.Negro), the approved stallion Mowgli V.O.D. (s.Desperado) as well as the Dutch mare champions Heliana V.O.D. (s.Davino V.O.D.) and Niana V.O.D. (s.Desperado). As a three-year-old, granddam Zoriana finished in the top ten in the National Mare Championships final and then passed the IBOP mare test with an outstanding score of 90 points, including a rare 10 for her trot. Small Tour horses such as Rhapsody (s.Lancet), Uno (s.Jazz), Zidana (s.Krack C) and Dior (s.Valeron) have also been bred from this special performance family. Onyx comes from the first crop of Glock's Taminiau, which itself makes an impression under Hans Peter Minderhoud.
