This promising Penoza carries good dressage genes on both his sire’s and dam’s side. His dam I-Katanga is a half-sister of the international Grand Prix dressage horse Etanga (s.Wynton), who was placed with Alexandra Dominguez Thomas several times, and granddam Katanga herself performed at ZZ-Licht (fourth) level in the sport. She also listed as the granddam of the ZZ-Licht (fourth level) dressage horse Worianda (s.Sonique). Penoza represents Holstein line 7020, from which a series of international sport horses have already been bred. Listed as the sire is the Olympic dressage stallion Painted Black, who made his mark in breeding with offspring such as Don Bravour, Zenith, Ebony, Cupido PB and Zingaro Apple. Dam’s sire Etoile has competed at top level with Evgeny Sharangovich and scored over 70 percent in the international Grand Prix several times.
