Sire Ferguson made great progress in both sport and breeding before his untimely death at just twelve years old. His Grand Prix debut was imminent, and he had already produced several remarkable offspring, such as Lightning Star, My Precious, Lord Platinum, Kyton, and First Lewis. Ferguson presents yet another promising offspring in Rembrandt. This well-moving gelding was bred out of the mare Vivera, who, in combination with Sir Oldenburg, already foaled the Small Tour horse Evera ridden by Esther van der Vegt. Both dam Vivera and granddam Livera have produced one or more Z1/Z2 (3^rd/3^rd-4^th) level horses. In the second generation, the Grand Prix sport and breeding stallion OO Seven contributes his genes. This sire has produced more than twenty offspring who have performed at the highest levels, including Zuidenwind, Ambria, Bono, and Zep. Further back in this pedigree, the influential stallion Ferro provides a strong genetic foundation for Rembrandt.
