Trotsy Zottie comes from the second crop of two-time stallion competition winner New Pleasure VDL. Under Hessel Hoekstra, this top talent has made a strong start in international sport and was placed at 1.45m-level last summer in Aachen, where he finished among the prize winners in the Youngster Cup. Through leading sire Harley VDL, Trotsy Zottie traces back on the dam’s side to granddam Zotti Lottie, who herself jumped at 1.30m-level and is a half-sister to the 1.50m-level showjumper Richmond W ridden by Henrik Lanner. This direct branch of the well-known Lottie/Zottie family has produced, among others, the international 1.60m-level horse Wiesielottie and the 1.45m-level performing stallion First Verdi. Foundation mare Elottie W is herself a half-sister to the Grand Prix horse Maybe Forever of Bernie Traurig, and produced 1.50/1.60m-level horses such as Jarno W, Tennesse W, Lottie W and the stallion Amadeus.
