At the age of three, this elite mare received scores of 85 for conformation and 80 for movement at the studbook inspection, which earned her an invitation to the NMK. She later successfully completed her IBOP with a total of 77.5 points. Ofira Waard is a half-sister to the Intermediate II horse Gregwaard, ridden by Marlou de Ruyter, who was named national foal champion, as well as to the Small Tour horses Lennoxwaard and Carstenwaard. Her dam Wintana Waard is a full sister to the international Grand Prix horse Zegerwaard, competed by Pia Gabriel, and a half-sister to the Small Tour horse Elewaard. The damline continues with the well-known mare Surona, who is a half-sister to the Grand Prix horse Axel ridden by Alexandre Ayache. Ofira Waard is sired by the U25 Grand Prix stallion Glock’s Flavio, who has been used on a limited basis for breeding. She is the fifth consecutive elite mare in her pedigree and is in foal to KWPN Premium stallion Saint McLaren.
