Taycan-D is sired by the Grand Prix stallion Carrera VDL, who was represented at last year’s European Championships by no fewer than three offspring. Carrera VDL has made his mark as a sire thanks to successful progeny at the highest level such as Mister Jup, Carabella vd Neyen Z and Komboy. Dam Nidilja-D passed the mare test with six scores of 8 and a total of 79 points, and granddam Hidilja-D is a half-sister to the 1.45m-level showjumpers Inside Out (s.Calvados) and Wispelway (s.Burggraaf). The line then traces back to the prestatie mare Quidilja, who can also be found in the damline of the top-level showjumper Max VLS (s.Untouched), with whom Giampiero Garofalo competed at the European Championships in Milan in 2023. This is also the branch of the Lady Reveil damline, from which 1.50/1.60m-level horses such as Rahmannshof Tic Tac and Giljandro van den Bosrand have been bred.
